No. I'm way out of the loop right now and trying to catch up. I dont shop Amazon though anyways.

I just dont quite understand the subtle differences between laptop specs right now.

Yeah, you shouldn't be paying more than $700 for a 1050Ti based laptop. For this price you should be looking at 1070 or a 2060, really, which are more than twice as powerful.

How does this line-up [bestbuy.com]for $1600 open box? It's a NVIDIA 2070.

I haven't looked into how crippled the current Max-Q designs are, but I wouldn't buy any laptop that has one. Generally the Max-Q version of a card cuts performance by somewhere between 25 and 50% at least.
