the Lodge 12" is frequently on sale for ~$4 more. for such a small difference..... (big % difference yes, but small numerical dollar difference for something that you will own for the rest of your life)

i would rather buy the Lodge product and support American jobs. is there anything wrong with this brand in this deal? of course not, it's a respectable brand that makes quality cookware.

another issue is warranty. should you ever experience an issue with a Lodge product. you email them a photo of the defect, a photo of the imprint on the bottom of the pan, and in 7-12 business days you will have a brand new pan at your door. this brand? doesn't say, but their website says "upon inspection", does this mean you have to mail the cast iron cookware back to them? at whose expense?

i know it's hard to pass up a 12" cast iron pan for $10, i just wanted to share my opinion on the matter

Lodge Tennessee Factory video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oj2qCi-ruoY . as the video states, the Lodge factory has employed generations of employees. to me, that's easily worth the little extra for a durable good product so i can support that

I have Victoria 12" and, while a decent quality for the money, it has hot spots and the bottom is somewhat warped. Just an FYI.

Depends. Non-stick is def an easier solution. You can turn cast iron to pretty much non-stick by seasoning with high burning point oil like flaxseed. That said, cast iron is much more versatile and lasts longer with proper maintenance. You'll pass it on to your grandchildren.

It looks like I'll be making a trip to the mall tomorrow. I need one of these for fried chicken & skillet cornbread.

They proudly show in their youtube commercial using recycled metal. Not being a metallurgust, not sure how safe it is to use recycled scrap metal to cast cookware.
