Hmmm...comforter is 100% polyester...she would never use this herself.

Incase this is helpful I just bought a nice Sealy hybrid mattress and a waterproof pad removes its ability to breath and do its job. I coincidently happened to have just bought that $30 manufacture error pads that retail 120 on here earlier this month. And it fixed the issue right up. So if you're a hot sleeper, and you want to waterproof your matress you'll need to add a really thick breathable pad ontop of it.

Also you'll want 400 thread count sheets so the top pad can breathe even better. 1800 tc will trap the heat inside the pad. And even the mattress by itself for that matter if you want to feel really cool at night, you'd go direct.

There are a couple of not so waterproof pads that are nice and extremely thick. Made of 100% cotton or bamboo that can really breathe well at night and are so thick that they soak up most liquids before they can hit the bed. However reviews show that it doesn't help bed wetters at all. So were talking about spills and sweating but not peeing.

Hope this helps fellow slicksters out there with my 4 weeks of research and testing lots of products to solve the issue in multiple ways.

You got the links backwards. The waterproof mattress pad link is in front of the comforters and the comforter link is in front of the mattress pads.
