Tracfone has unveiled three new annual plans for customers to choose from. It seems that they are going right after RedPocket and other MVNO's and beating them at their own game.

This is a win for customers like us as some of these deals, especially the Tracfone, is more than 50% off and a better offer than their everyday plans.

It seems that these pricing are for a limited time promotion.

Tracfone Prepaid Wireless Smartphone Plan+SIM-1200 Min,1200 Txt, 3GB Data
- $49.99 for 1200 Minutes, 1200 Texts, 3GB of Data and 1 Year of Service (Similar Plan on Tracfone is $125)

Net10 Prepaid Wireless Phone Plan+SIM-Unlimited Talk & Text 1GB

I am assuming we lose existing minutes, text and data if we add this to existing line?

Currently have small plan with Tracfone running on Tmobile.
Do I call TF CSR to add this plan and keep my current number?
No, you can simply use tracfone website to add minutes to your existing line.

I already have tracfone so I can just pound this card on top of what I already have with no cons correct? I do have triple minutes will I lose that advantage if I add this card. It says "this card won't triple".
The way I read the ad is it doesn't come with a separate card for the minutes but instead you get a sim card with activation code that when activated the minutes/text/data are added to the new line . You can transfer your existing Tracfone number to combine minutes/text/data but not the expiration part. (years ago you could but don't believe it is possible now)

for example current line has 600 minutes that expire in six months. After transferring you would have 1800 minutes that expire in 12 months not in 18 months however I did this about 3 years ago and somehow my minutes were set to expire in 2031 so you might get lucky.

No. Your minutes/txt and data will get rolled over.

you kidding right ? 49.99 for just 1200 and 3g a whole year ?
This is correct. Tracfone is only for light users. With Google Hangouts and WiFi, one can still can get a lot done with this plan.

From my experience at least, everything including minutes, texts, data and service time will get added on top of what you have. So if you already have a service expiration date of 5/17/19, this card will extend it to 5/17/2020.

You might be correct been awhile since I did this. I might have it backwards where you cant activate this line and then transfer the service date to your current account.

Are you nuts? How could they make money like that? Also, why would anyone but extreme power users pay the big boys if that were available?
Don't be so rude. That was why I asked.

There are wifi options to phone people from where wifi is available. So you can phone as much as you want. Use data from wifi etc.

So in reality this works for a lot of people. Like sometimes couples will have one phone unlimited and the other just used to connect the two while shopping or whatever.

The data is nearly triple what they used to do. 1.2 GB.

Also this is a good price. Before had to buy a phone to get 1200 minutes and a year for perhaps as low as $40 but usually $60 or more.

Looks like the normal price will be $60 and this is a sale price. The sims are a dollar and it must cost them more than that to ship them.

Don't know how this is beating RP at their own game. Red Pocket's basic plan gives you 500mb per month.
