Is this the best pet-monitoring / treat-giving device, or should I keep waiting?

Can the treat size be increased to feed a child? Is the power cord long enough to mount at a child's height? Asking for a friend who wants a vacation badly.

Just set the feeding schedule shorter so they get more food.

It's not terrible.

The video and sound quality varies quite a lot from session to session.

The treat dispensation (?) is solid, it can only use one size (more or less) but I've yet to have a jam or error. It shoots em pretty far lol.

The motion detection, recording features are pretty neat.

I bought mine at $99 on BF.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! Does this need a monthly subscription to see live video?

Bought this last time for same price off Amazon truck over a year ago. It's not worth it. The treats routinely jam even when using the suggested size. It also launches it with some intensity when it does work it's scaring the dog. Also the dog can't seem to get used to a voice coming out of the box. It scares the dog each time. Maybe other dogs react differently.

There is no monthly fee required to see live video feed. I have it and it works well, but feline greenies do pop a few out at a time.

Finally! I don't have to actually visit Grandma to make sure she's taking her meds.

I've had this for a few years now. So far customer support was reliable. I had one unit replaced due to bad audio, night vision, and video. I don't think my internet was the issue since I could stream videos and games just fine. The replacement is working as intended.
The treat dispenser is nice, it does shoot blanks every so often. Teat sizes that are 3/4 to an inch, tends to get stuck too often.
You can set schedules and the distance for the treats.
The dispenser does get dusty from crumbs, I clean in-between refills.
If treats get low the unit can place orders off amazon, There's a limited selection of treats for the reorder option.
There is a subscription, but with just a free account you get 4 hours of video history, and you get live feed just for connecting with the app.
It's a 1080, 140 degree wide angle lens. You can screen shot and record what's on screen.
The two way voice is nice, the update improved the echo issues, I'm still getting choppy audio from the dispenser.
The night vision is good for about 10 ft in pitch black.
The sensors are good, it picks up everything sound and movement. This can be annoying with constant notification.
No google home or echo compatibility. Their version 2 is said to support them.
There's a sharing feature you can turn off where you can view other people's live video and give treats, and vice versa, which is creepy.
Comes with USB C cable.
Overall I'm happy with it.
