Yes, but of course it more depends on your usage. Generally both frequency and latency decides the bandwidth you get, and nowadays even the worst DDR4 on market would satisfy most home and office usage. But if you need to do serious gaming or even mining / deep learning, higher bandwidth makes a big difference.

I ran it just fine with AMD 2600x and overclocked with zero issue.
