Is a maple neck. If ya mean the fingerboard, I get it.

Although, nice thing with this model is it does have a Rosewood fingerboard. New models are all Pao Ferro, since Rosewood is now protected. Some say the Rosewood may become more desireable ($$$) in years to come.

Myself, I've always liked the look of the maple on a Fender (especially the Tele). Yet prefer playing on Rosewood.

Been patiently waiting for another Marr deal to come back around ... not that I need another guitar but that one seems so well thought out.

Unless the signature is important, you will like this one better than Marr's. Here is why: it has 9.5 radius, neck satin finish (Marr's is sticky gloss), easier truss rod adjustment while retaining the best stuff from Marr's like 4-position switch (with better sound options, but that is IMHO), Mustang saddles, etc.

As an owner of a Marr Jag, I much prefer the vintage radius and narrower nut width to the Am Pro model. The Barenuckle pickups are a step up as well.

I have a Marr and much prefer the neck to my Duo Sonic radius. The pickups alone are worth it, but I also say that about the neck.
