Pretty sure he/she is saying used bricks are measured in dollars per pound rather than cents per piece, not that you can buy a pound of used bricks for a dollar.

My point was that we should measure the cost of the new ones by the weight not by count..

Here is the description of one 17lb lego package that sold for $39.
Lot of 17 lbs. of Genuine Authentic Legos

I cant copy the item number, the ebay app doesnt let me copy.

But you are right it's not $1 but around $2.5/lbs is easy to find.

I think 10 cents a piece is An average good deal, but not a great deal. I wouldn't get this for 9.5 cents a piece.
