If you're an xFi Advantage customer with Xfinity you can get a 3-pack of xFi Pods for free ($119 RV). Usually you have to complete a 2-week wifi assessment and you must meet certain criteria.
I called to complain to Comcast and the CSR just gave me the link to get them for free, without doing the assessment and waiting two weeks.

For me, xFi Advantage was an additional $2/mo and includes unlimited data. They were charging me $50/mo for unlimited data before! I'm actually saving money with this plan. If you're paying extra for unlimited data you should call. YMMV & GL

You need to have xFi gateway (a device) from Xfinity to be eligible.

Right now I'm paying $15/mo for xFi Advantage and that's after the REQUIRED speed bump up to a minimum 400mbps for $20/mo...so in total they've got me at $35/mo.
Should I call?

I'm on 1 gig speed plan FWIW.

Oh, okay....the post is VERY misleading then. It didn't cost you $2/mo, it cost you $15/mo ($2 additional per month OVER YOUR PREVIOUS COST FOR xFi ADVANTAGE). You already have a high plan with the required fast wifi speeds so no need for the speed boost but I can't avoid that charge. So it looks like I'm still getting the best I can get on it.
It just let me order and I'm using my own Arris modem. Hope I don't get charged.
Hopefully you can take advantage of the free pods at least since it's included in your plan.
