This isn't 16:9 resolution. It's 21:9, comparing it to standard 16:9 24/27" monitors is apples to oranges. You wouldn't compare a crt 4:3 to a 16:9 lcd.

You're not wrong. At 27"+ you should be running 1440p for gaming. This is way too big for most games. I run a 27" curved 1440p/144hz and even that feels massive with some games. 24"-27" is usually the best range. Then again, good luck finding a good 1440p/144hz monitor for this price.

Props that this is one of those rare SlickDeals where the seller actually has 2500+ positive feedback too.

These are native 144Hz overclocked at 200Hz.

They have so many versions of these monitors with so many similar names and hidden model numbers that you will have a fun time trying to actually figure out the TRUE specs for this monitor. Good luck finding someone who actually sat down and tested their claims also.

RTINGS tested a lost of Acer monitors and none of them come anywhere near their claims. They claim 1ms and do 14.3 ms, so go search true tests if you want to be smart.

Description says 200hz with g-sync and 4ms response time. Seems lit.

I agree with ohsighrus, at 25" 1080p it starts looking a bit pixelated. 27" should be the max limit for 1080p gaming, anything bigger and it starts looking like potato.

Of course, if you like to sit farther back and use a controller it might be decent, but I think most people with monitors game up close with KB+M.

That is fair, and something to consider especially since 21:9 at 30 will have about the same PPI as a 24". To each their own when it comes to preference. Additionally you'll not get 200Hz out of 1440p, so this is a niche monitor if that is your thing.
