There is an instant savings applied after the code bringing it to 59.99 with free shipping. The mail in rebate is $30 from Thermaltake. This makes it effectively $30 plus tax.

I have this case, paid a little more for it and I'm decently happy. Runs kinda loud, just due to the front being open, and the stock fans not being terribly quiet.

Frys has a sale on the Thermaltake Versa J24 TG. This includes 3 RGB fans mounted in the front in addition to the rear case fan. $74.99 - $15.00 promo code - $30.00 mail in rebate (expires 5/25). Price good through 05/25z

I Have a noob question about these. Where are the drive bays for dvd-rw or blueray drives? I see that it says it has 3 hidden 3.5" drive bays and 2 accessible 2.5 drive bays.

I feel like this a great deal for a budget computer case, since it comes with the fans. But of course that is if you're going to do the rebate and you don't mind having louder fans (I'm assuming the fans are louder because they are "free").

Get the j22 which is the only one in the series that has a drive bay. It's the one I have and the only issue is the stock fans speeds cant be changed (which of course can be swapped out).

A lot of companies are eliminating the drive bays. I personally haven't used a internal dvd/Blu-ray drive in many years. The solution is to use an external drive. Having the bays removed from the computer case, allows a lot more room inside.

What about fans in this one, can the speed be controlled?

I went through the whole description and didn't see anything about speed control. Wonder if they are just wired fans?

I bought the case - the fixed fan speed sound was enough for me to go swap them from leftover non-rgb NZXT PWM control fans I had laying around.

12V analog RGB is OK, not really a must - I like the other version which is ARGB, but Fry's doesn't carry it.

I did a little bit of search online and found this comment on Tom's Hardware. I thinks this post helps regarding the fixed speed:

"You can't... at least not straightforwardly. The fans use Thermaltake's proprietary 6-pin connector. While I am sure someone figured out how to create an improvised connector compatible with their motherboard's fan header, it will most likely not be a simple fix."

That sucks to hear the fans are noisy. I guess I'll wait for the case to arrive before hearing for myself.

I bought this case for my first build of a computer for console twitch streaming 3 months ago and paid $80. This is an excellent price. I've had absolutely zero issues with temperatures. Fan sound is fine, and is not even noticeable sitting next to the blue yeti mic during the stream.
