I got the Moto Z2 Force and it is an awesome phone. I also have the latest Pixel 3a and I love both phones. I can't even pick a favorite because their pros are so different. I don't have the Moto Z3 but I can tell you that the Moto Z2 Force (835 processor) is similar to the Moto Z3 (835 processor). The internals are almost identical. Here are some differences.

Screen? Z2 Force is 5.5" quadHD 16:9 and Moto Z3 is 6.1" 1080p 18:9.
Screen type? Z2 Force is shattershield and Moto Z3 is gorilla glass. Put a screen protector on both screens.
Finger print sensor? Z2 Force is on bottom front and Moto Z3 is on the side.
Battery life? Z2 Force is 2730 mAh and Moto Z3 is 3000 mAh. I got solid battery life on my Z2 Force and sometimes 6 hours screen time but I would assume Moto Z3 would have better battery life due to 1080p and larger battery size.
Front camera? Z2 Force is 5mp and Moto Z3 is 8mp.
Updates? Z2 Force will get Pie and won't get many more security updates anymore. Moto Z3 will get Pie and "Q" and will get more security updates.
Build? Z2 Force has aluminum rear and Moto Z3 has gorilla glass rear.

Everything else is pretty much similar. You can't go wrong with either phone.

Selected one time payment of $120 to upgrade line. I was only charged tax on $120. Total was $129. $40 upgrade fee added on bill. Good deal

Nice Smilie Thanks for reporting back OnTheHunt Cheers

Your paperwork at checkout looked clear as far as bill credits not being involved?

Great deal for a Verizon Z3. This is a Verizon Z3 with the Verizon quirks and although unlocked, does not interact nicely with non-Verizon carriers - you need to change settings, etc. to make it work. For those that want a seamless experience between various carriers, a Google Pixel may be a better option (albeit more expensive).

With one time payment selected there was almost no paperwork... There was some sort of "Verizon agreement" which was just regular policy disclosures... no "bill credits" anywhere. It was as simple as a regular item order.

can I $120 use the
- one-time payment (select 'Activate Today') + $40 Activation/Upgrade Fee = $160 + tax

then call and cancel the account right away? do I need to pay the $40 activation fee?

Thanks OP

I got this about 8 months ago when Verizon had it for $240. Good phone ! Upgradeable to 5G (Z3) with the moto-mod. Only gripe is the buttons, very hard to push.

We should be able to keep grandfathered unlimited download plans with this, right?

nice update. did the same. luckily saw this right after z2 play order and cancelled that. not sure if its worth $80 more than z2 play but hoping it is. especially with the alexa mod. anyone know if the original z droid wireless batt mod fit this?

does this have that "easy scratching" issue like the z2 force/play series?

So the only difference between the two Z3 listings linked in the OP are:
1st Z3 = black + speaker mod
2nd Z3 = ceramic black
?

If so, it seems a no-brainer to get the speaker mod.

Thanks OP, have an upgrade and have been patiently waiting for the $5 monthly credits to appear again since Verizon offered this on Cyber Monday.
