1 Slot upgradable. 8GB is soldered to the motherboard and the user accessible one has 8GB which you can replace with 16GB module. For Editing work, it will be just okay. I would recommend you to look for i7-8750H/9750H based system with high quality panel. GTX 1660 Ti is actually overkill for editing work, even a older GTX 1060 or newer GTX 1650 will be sufficient. You need to concentrate on Powerful Processor and high quality panel with over 90% sRGB and over 70% Adobe RGB coverage.

As long as you aren't buying Intel chip computers... https://www.engadget.com/2019/05/...abilities/ you know with the most recent 4 vulnerabilities patches dropped performance by up to 16%, and Google and Apple recommending to turn off hyper threading which will drop another 40-50% performance, don't see any good reason to touch Intel processors for the foreseeable future.

I think Dave was a little underwhelmed by the screen...even though it's 120hz.

There is no review available yet for this particualr CPU. However, Notebookcheck did a review of the Asus TUF with Ryzen 5 3550H and the performance was just below i5-8300H but due to 35W TDP, it consumes lot less power.
This Processor, Ryzen 7 3750H, has higher frequency and the performance should be over i5-8300H, may be more or less, equivalent to the new i5-9300H

Definitely watch Dave2D's video.

The m.2 slots are x2 only vs normal x4.

Screen color isn't the best

WiFi card is 1x1

Do you think the thickness includes the feet?

Good info. I'm also looking for a solid photo editing machine (Lightroom, etc.) won't be doing any gaming, but want something snappy and reliable.

What's with AMD straight up stealing Intel's CPU model naming scheme?
