Still no for me, this is a TN panel, won't be buying any laptop with TN panel. Otherwise great specs for the price.
Recommend one in this price range please?

How about this from Costco? I saw in store for $679.97* you know if it ends in .97 it's discontinue item, just not sure it's a good buy

Does the USB 3.1 type C allow charging/display/power delivery?
No charging. Display, yes. Power Delivery no.

this is a great deal for someone looking to do office work, school work, watching netflix and light gaming. its got a nice chip, upgradeable ram and NVME SSD, also love the backlit keyboard and USB 3.1 type C is a huge plus you won't see in a lot of these models.

I had 2 ideapads in the past. Both break physically in less than 15 months. The build is very cheap and the place that hold hinges is weak. Great performance though. I had T series before and they are wonderful but ideapads don't last

I refuse to use dell/hp. I have been using Lenovo for past 5 years and others than the WiFi issue on my yoga 730 I never had any problem.

There 360 degree convertible laptops with pen support are AMAZING!!!

Discount coupons never work on tech items at OD. Staples is same. If you want a discount, take a look at current cashback rates and use a credit card that earns 5% on office supply like Chase Ink.

You can however use free item coupons in conjunction with tech products. This week OD has a free duffle bag with purchases of $200+, a travel blanket set on $125+ or a travel bag set on $75+. Respective codes are 69861927, 78632790 and 70135105.

Don't know if you noticed, but the Ryzen 5 3500U variant is also on sale for $449.99. [officedepot.com] That's a solid price for those who want improved graphics performance at the cost of slightly reduced battery life and CPU performance.

Last time you posted this config a few weeks ago it was $475 and hit frontpage with 85 thumbs up. Might want to create another thread for it so it doesn't get buried in this one. I'd do it myself, but I'm feeling a bit lazy at the moment. Smilie

People need to know the risk they're taking with Lenovo products.
The Superfish scandal was from 2015. At what point do you suggest we move on from that or would you prefer that SDer continue posting his "disclaimer" from now until eternity?

Nearly every tech manufacturer has at least one lawsuit and or scandal in their past related to a slew of various concerning issues. Does every tech thread need a required disclaimer in it for its respective manufacturer so that "people know the risk they're taking" with that manufacturer's products?

This seems like a pretty good deal. I can't believe how far Intel's ultra low-voltage chips have come in the past couple of years. This thing has a higher passmark score than the 7700HQ in my gaming laptop, same core/thread count.
