There just isn't a lot of info about these online, looks like they were mainly a Euro release. The screen and lack of fingerprint sensor makes me hesitate instead of being a no brainier. Thanks OP, you're making my comparison shopping easier Smilie

This seems like a pretty good deal. I can't believe how far Intel's ultra low-voltage chips have come in the past couple of years. This thing has a higher passmark score than the 7700HQ in my gaming laptop, same core/thread count.
Really? Higher score than 7700HQ? How about actual daily performance? Huh, seems my 6700HQ laptop is already outdated?

Please, will someone post on the actual deal and not their political agenda. This is a cheap laptop with W10 home. It's a GREAT laptop for 98% of the world. You're here hunting for deals but don't want to buy from China? Who makes laptops here in the US?? Who makes a laptop in the US for this price range?

Lenovo is a bad company, do not buy their products. You support a Chinese company that would pull this sort of malicious tactic and only rescind it because they got caught.

thank goodness the usa does not spy on its citizens and the head of such agencies would never lie under oat about it.
thank goodness we are free and people dont go to prison for refusing to persecute journalists who tell the truth or un cover WAR Crimes.
thank goodness the Chinese are the bad guys and not ATT, google, Comcast, Verzion and all others.

prices will go down till they go up because we are stuck with just a few monopolistic suppliers, this is the dream of every trade warrior who is not a labor union. wages will not rise, just prices. old formula

With chinese trade war going on I won't treat his warning lightly.

Google just announced today will cut off all android license and support (google play, support) to Huawei, a brand of mobile phone on sale at SD recently and invited intensive debate about should or should not worry about chinese brand phone/computer.

No doubt merchants are hurry to get rid of any chinese brand electronics at the fastest speed they can. If you really don't care, at least wait. The price will likely drop much more as the trade war heats up. It's accelerating as we speak. Do people watch news any more?

Ignoring the glaring difference in screen size (13 vs 15), how do these specs compare to the best buy dell 13" Ryzen 7 deal? General performance, build quality, anything else? I have that one ordered and ordered this lenovo. I think I can work around either size screen and touchscreen isn't overly important for me. No gaming.

I have the Touchscreen/IPS version of this laptop. Great laptop, super fast and great build quality. Its crazy how small and light it is for a 15 incher. There isnt much out on them right now because they just hit the stores.
However, I would not buy this particular laptop since it has a TN screen. The screen on a laptop is just too important to save a few bucks on it.

Does the USB 3.1 type C allow charging/display/power delivery?

The product description also says 8gb Max memory
At this price point, i seriously doing that usb c does power delivery. But it's usb c so of course it can do external displays

No, I don't think USB-C means display Out. It needs to implement Alt-Display mode for that. Most of the budget laptops simply come with normal USB 3.0 data port with Type-C interface.

Al this BS about products made in China. At least 80% of our electronics are made in China and other foreign countries. For many decades USA has been taking advantage of cheap labor and manufacturing. Since President Stormy been in office lot of people now "outraged" about this like this happened last week. Don't get me started with the spies BS. Gtfo
