does this work for drone 4k videos?
Not well. You need the "extreme" version for that.

Thinking about getting one. Care to elaborate on how should I test them to make sure it is not the fake one. TIA!
An old program called H2Testw.
It basically fills up the card with data (test files) and verifies that the data was written correctly.

There are so many fake products on Amazon that I'm beginning to lose faith in the merchant all together.
I feel the same way. I have been shopping for microSD cards in the last few days, and I avoided buying from Amazon.

Thanks, I used a different one, which I didn't really like enough to recommend. I also have a a sweet paid program called Beyond Compare, which among many other things, can do a binary compare/verify of two folders, so I usually have used that lately. I can't recommend buying it just for testing SD cards, but I do recommend it generally Smilie

I purchased this exact card from the last frontpage ($25) and it's been working fine in my Thinkware Dashcam. I've purchased many MicroSD cards from Amazon including multiple Sandisk and Samsung cards, and have NEVER received a fake card. I only purchase "shipped and sold by Amazon". That being said, if you're weary about purchasing online, go to Best Buy and have them price match instead.

Edit: Too late, deal is dead for the 200gb card, now at $32.42. Still alive so far for the 400gb.

I had bad experience with Sandisk with its usb drive, which was dead on me that can only be read but never writable. Tried every possible method but never been able to get it back. Maybe just bad luck, but now I'd like to stay away from Sandisk. Hope Samsung will drop its price soon, though I also had not good experience with its usb drive with slow write speed, but it hasn't died on me yet so far.

I had similar experience as well a few years ago with sandisk microsd twice. Lucklily I was able to RMA and send the cards back in two pieces since they were read only and had sensitive data. Sold the new cards on ebay and am sticking with samsung cards since then. The odd part is you were able to copy data to the card and it said "transfer completed".

I bought two sandisk brand of micro sd and both time it got corrupted where the files in it can't be deleted. Should I pull the trigger and risk buying this or wait for a deal on Samsung sd card instead. Not in a hurry to get one yet.

Amazon and some other retailers sell fake Samsung cards as well. So you gotta test them all.

I'm a photographer by trade and the Samsung SD cards are by far the most reliable. I've had Sandisks for many years but they dont hold up too long after years of use. I've had to explain to a newly wed couple about why I didnt get their pictures taken. That was NOT fun.
Bought it from samsung.com

Same thing happened to me. I bought this Sandisk card and it lasted a few months before it stopped reading and writing anything. I used the warranty to get a replacement and immediately it stopped working right out of the box. I'm done with Sandisk. This is ridiculous.

just a heads up that you can get these for 50$ (saving around 11$ after tax) from Google Express using the first time user 20% off code MAYSAVE19.

thought 50$ was pretty good to give my nintendo switch the extra space.
