For reference, this was $1150 from Costco, but is no longer available. If the gift card is worth at least $250 to you, this deal is better (apart from Costco warranty).

Costco shows that the new model will be released on the 24th. The new model is listed over $2k but I'd expect these to continue to drop.

Yup, new model is waaaaay better on paper.

384 zones and 3000 nits vs 192 zones and 2000 nits brightness.

Though, not sure it will drop in the near term as low as TVs are now since the 25% tariffs are in effect. All stock imported will have to pay it, so I fear TVs will be expensive for a while until tarriffed TVs are cleared through.

that's interesting bc one of the weird "complaints" i've seen about the old model is that it's actually too bright - something about having to use different settings when watching at night vs day.

FWIW - I purchased this previous deal (1499 + 400 egc) and contacted dell support through chat to see about an after sales price match. I wasn't sure if they would since it was about 35 days past the invoice date, but they ended up issuing a refund of $100. I suppose YMMV since their policy states a 30 day policy for after purchase price matches.
