I'm waiting for 27 inch,1ms,1440p, g-sync, 144hz or more, HDR monitors at a reasonable price.
So what are the leading candidate(s)?

If your using this for gaming IPS is a must, sure you can use a TN panel for cheaper but the difference between IPS is night and day. If you don't know the difference IPS gives clear picture no matter where your looking, where as TN you have to be in the sweet spot to get a clear picture. Gave this monitor to my wife for anniversary and I must say it's a really good monitor, her old monitor was a IPS 1440p 144hz monitor which I took to replace my TN 1440p monitor, I'll never go TN again. This price is worth in my opinion. The next generation models are going to $2000 plus

None right now, I don't think they even exist yet until HDR catches on for PC.

I know it's silly to ask how an $800 monitor compares to one less than half the cost, but how does the Monoprice 35 Inch Curved Zero-G UWQHD Gaming Monitor at $369.99 stack up to this?
VA panel vs IPS and worse warranty. The monoprice one i believe ti can be overclocked to the same refresh 120hz . Depends on your needs. For gaming i would take the monoprice for the price difference but for color accuracy and warranty i would go with the Dell

The LG 34GK950F-B has higher refresh, G-SYNC works on it, and it has a 1ms response after the firmware update, and has been the same price. My friend has this model, and I have the LG. He said that he preferred mine. I would hold off personally.

Edit: The $75 gift card makes it cheaper than the LG has been, but that depends on if you'll use it.
superior build quality on the Dell and better warranty. Otherwise the LG is a slightly better panel. 24hz is not a noticeable bump since 120hz is already a fairly high refresh rate but nice to have. Regardless at 800 id pick the LG but it hasnt been this price for months and now there are some really interesting displays announced for a summer/fall release so not sure id dropp 800 on a gaming monitor right now. I would wait on either of them

I know this is in a diff class but anyone has any experience with LG 34WK95U-W?

Looking for a bigger monitor 4k or higher with USB-C HDR and 100Hhz refresh or higher.

Although this is nice it provides very little real estate compared with what I have now 2x 27in....

Absolute beast of a monitor; I personally have 3. No issues with getting to 120 refresh rate, back-light bleed, etc or any of the three. The Dell warranty itself is definitely worth the jump if you're on the fence between this and the LG 34" with similar specs.

Only things to watch out for are the weight; I believe this monitor is about 35 lbs with the stand. Other than that, the stand itself is quite bulky and takes up a decent amount of space. Highly recommend wall mounting the monitor if possible.

The LEDs on the back of the stand are not very bright and you'll forget they're there; the one on the bottom of the monitor is visible if you have a surface close enough to let the light shine on it.

Other than that, you cannot go wrong.

I already have 1 of these monitors and it's by far the best monitor I've owned for a productivity and gaming standpoint. I hopped on the Dell sale on the Vizio 55' P-Series monitor and was waiting for this to drop. From the dell rewards and GC here's my total:

Dell Rewards $21
8% CB
$200 GC (from buying Vizio 55 P-Series)

Remaining total $658.59 before CB

8% CB on $879.59 total = $70.37 in additional savings

$658.59 - $70.37 = $587.63
+ 1 additional AMEX point for every dollar spent.

#Winning

EDIT: Going to use the $75 GC to get a new mouse Big Grin

I got this monitor like a year ago for about $800 and it's been amazing. OC'd to 120hz since day one and haven't had any issues with it. 100% recommended. The only this I'd say is the weight. It's heavy.

Thats exactly what I did with my $75 gift card(got the keyboard and mouse). May I suggest the Alienware Elite Gaming Mouse: AW959 as it is fantastic and solid.

Nice. But still seems a bit behind the times considering tv technology. HDR oled better than 4K resolutions.

Still nice. But $800 nice?

Using code LCS10OFF knocks the price down to $720. With Rakuten you get 8% cash back (about $57), taking the price down to about $663. Then if you can make use of the $75 gift card this makes it a pretty good deal.

Here is a webside: https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/awards.htm where you can find an excellent review of this monitor and others.

This monitor checked all the boxes for me. Thanks OP for the post.

I own this monitor, bought it on a similar deal.
The picture is great and I love the screen size.
One drawback (for me at least) is how deep it is. It takes up a lot of my desk space. Also, my $75 expires next week and I have no idea what to spend it on.
