Just noticed that Amazon has the "Apple Watch Series 4 (GPS, 40mm) - Space Gray Aluminium Case with Black Sport Band" for 349.00 today. This is the lowest price I have seen for this particular model and camelx3 confirms that this is the lowest price. Surprised that nobody has posted this yet!

FWIW - this is good for price matching at retail stores like Best By this weekend if you don't want to wait on shipping.

People on luxury watch threads complain about prices and how Apple watch beats it on every turn at 10% the price then go to an apple watch thread and people still complain about how expensive these watches are compared to how cheap it costs produce WTH, that's how business works! Why don't we pay every salaried individual the minimum hourly rate since they all technically invest equal amount of time anyway? Jeez.

Why not make ur own watches instead of pooping on a great post.

Thanks OP!

hmm.. Go for it or wait for next gen..
IMO, I don't see the need to have the latest apple watch UNLESS there's a specific feature that you have to have. Next gen is always around the corner. EKG is the reason I'm going for 4 instead of 3, and I dont have any need to wait for 5.

If you mean wait on 5 for the current price of 4 to drop some more then, I'd say that works too. BF would be the best time to buy this, but then again is it worth to wait 6 months to save ~$100?

There are same quality smart-watches that are being sold for cheaper. It already happened. The reason Apple keeps reaping profit is it tricked sheep into a cult like status symbol that makes them believe they should pay the inflated prices they put on their products.
Then other companies can learn the trick to make people pay the inflated prices. Or are they all conscientious, unlike Apple?

They aren't conscientious. You can't have many cults like Apple. They definitely are masters at what they do, sell you far less for way more. But that won't stop me from explaining to Apple sheep that they are being ripped off, since this website is all about getting the best bang for your buck.

Yep. The original Apple watch could go swimming with you, had just as good of a processor.....so yeah. They should TOTALLY stay the same price.
I guess my iPhone should cost more than the first supercomputer, which was $8 million, because it's faster.

Great logic there bud.

Completely agree! Perhaps some of it could be attributed to more expensive components, but mostly it is to make more $$.
Uh, don't disregard the effect of the Federal Reserve inflating the money supply to pay for all the wars fought in our name. It would be a lot harder for them to push every new military adventure if a tax increase came with each one. For another example, the average fast food dollar menu item of a decade ago is now more like $3.

Best Buy has it on sale as well, $349. Target will price match and with red card it's additional 5% savings, -17.45. So it's $331.55 + tax.

So, actual question here. Can someone help me understand the pros of the GPS watch over cellular besides the fact it doesn't have to be tied to cell plan? I just can't get past the uses of having a cell antenna and being phone free for most tasks.
I have an Apple watch with GPS. I wanted it to track my runs without having my phone on me. I could still do that with a gps model. I have the series 3, but it also applies to the 4.

I don't think this site is about educating people how they should spend their money; it's more about finding deals with better prices for the items they want. I switched to Android many years ago and can't imagine going back to iPhone (mostly because of the back button and not price) but some of my family members prefer iPhones (mostly because of i-watch or just user preference, not because cult-following). I don't deny that Apple products are overpriced but if people do want to use their products for whatever reason and have the money to pay for, it's not right for some of us to judge. I rest my case.

Thinking to get one from Costco (Sorry), but it says Shipping and Handling is 4.99 extra. If I go to Costco store and buy it from there, will this S/H apply too? or they may not have it in stock? (Edit: no handling fee if in stock at store)

I had a 4 with cellular. It justifiably shattered when I had a fall, but I don't think I'll be replacing it. It's not cheap, and I've been able to get by without one even though I used it heavily.
