Do these headphones sound any good?
They are honestly great and you won't find better at that price for sure. At regular msrp $60-$70 there may be better out there but for $30 they are a steal. I replaced mine after 3 years because a plastic part on the head band broke but they still worked fine. I replaced then with HyperX Cloud which honestly sound terrible compared to the g430. Rebuying right now Big Grin

Just a heads up, the Logitech G430 and pretty much every other Logitech I have had breaks at this one pivot/twist point at the headset. Its a weakpoint that eventually cracks and breaks. If you fill that slit (you can see it on the image, right below the stamped 'G430'
above the headset) with JB weld you'll never run in to issues.

My G430 broke in a year. $30 is $30 I guess but stil.

I have this. It's a good headset and would buy again
Same here, very happy with it. I'd buy again if we needed another.

I have the G430, and while they sound nice, I find them uncomfortable. I paid $20 at Walmart which I feel is worth it. At $30, I would personally just find something in the $50ish dollar range that was more comfortable. If you are on a budget it's not a bad deal though.

The G600 is really great for MMOs. I play a lot of FFXIV and that mouse is indispensable. Also really useful for setting up shortcuts in the OS and other media applications. All of those side-buttons map to keystrokes so you can make those buttons do ANYTHING.

So many comments on here and amazon about the G430 pivot breaking really surprise me. I've had my pair for over a year, I've never rage thrown or purposefully mistreated them but I accidentally sit, step, and drop them on a glass table top desk frequently and they still work great. I firmly believe you can't get a better gaming headset then this without hitting the $100 mark.

There's so many comments because they often break at the pivot point? Mine did as well. I still think it's a great headset, especially for that price, but there's plenty of better quality ones under a $100.

Could you link a couple? My set is getting dirty and I've been thinking of upgrading to something a bit nicer.

My G230 died after about a year, no idea why. But Logitech sent me a new one under warranty, didn't even have to send the broken one back. Always good products and service.

Another G430 with broken pivot points. My first one broke, Logitech replaced it and the second one broke about 9 months later.

What are people doing to their headsets? Confused Honestly curious since I have had mine since 2014 with daily use of 3-4hrs and aside from the ear cups wearing some there is no sign of slowdown.
I also bough two pairs for my siblings 4 years ago and they both have theirs.
Did they change the build quality since then?

I don't baby them, but I also don't throw them around. I love the sound, fit and durability of the G430.

Is Logitech ever going to refresh the G600, they've been selling that mouse since 2012. It could really use better feeling side buttons and one of the better optical sensors.

Yeah. I wish they would refresh many of the mice, headsets, and controllers we see today. They keep milking the products rather than make improvements on them. Like quality or features.

The g600 seems like a better deal than the corsair scimitar. The scroll wheel has tilt left/right and the 3rd mouse click buttons seem like huge deals to me. In addition the 12 button pad seems better for precision with your thumb.

Scimitar looks better, better rgb, rubber texture, and movable 12 button pad seem like nice features. It completely misses the scroll tilt. For many not having the 3rd mouse click is game changer. This lets you have a modifier key in order to double your 12 button key bindings to 24 or just bind something simple like push to talk.

The g600 seemed like a better deal. So I bought it. Iv always wanted the scimitar because the overall quality and aesthetic looked good.

Scimitar is normally around $60 and is now $50. The g600 is normally $32 and is now $24.
