Beats previous popular deal from 5/10 by about $10. Great deal for anyone that missed out!

Hmm I wonder if I should just go for the 7.2 instead?

I did , not for the price, but I don't need/care for 9.2 capability. 7.1 Atmos is incredible. I finally upgraded my receiver this year. TX-NR777. Love it

What is the best bang for your buck if you are hung up on 7.1 or 9.2 capabilities?

Did you get separate speakers, or did you get those floorstanding built in atmos speakers?

Seems like a good deal on this receiver, maybe the 9.2 may matter for driving speakers in other rooms using multi zone audio.
Anyone know what the difference between atmos vs non-atmos receivers?

How does this compare to Costco's Yamaha TSR-7850?

They are exactly the same except for 90 vs 120 watts per channel

Doesn't the rz830 support processing 11.2 if you keep your old receiver to power 2 extra channels. Or buy a $99 amp to do that.

9.2 is a more powerful receiver by far. You can zone another room with it. I'll get a 9.2 over 7.1 anyday!
