You are delusional and have bad taste.
I mean of no disrespect, just a bit curious. But why do you care about what people buy?

A couple weeks ago I was browsing Craigslist and happened upon a used Tag Heuer that I liked at a very good price. After answering all my skeptical questions it turns out the seller and I have mutual friends, whom I contacted and they said he's a stand up guy.

Met him at a local watch gallery that I chose, the owner of the gallery opened the watch and verified it's authenticity and had the service records on hand as he's the one who's been servicing it. Seller took the cost of polishing it off the price, total cost to me was $600.

You don't have to spend like crazy to get quality things, I'll keep adding to my collection but I'm not paying this close to retail.

Regardless about whether this watch is great or not, this a fake deal that was artificially promoted on Slickdeals because Jomashop paid for it. Websites like Slickdeals loses tons of credibility for good deals and a few of us hope to create a new deals website which will ban shill deals like this.

No this doesnt have HDMI, no it is not same as $20 watch, we all know you bought 10, yes there are people that can afford this that come to SD, no you dont have to sell your body parts to afford one, yes Jomashop can be hit or miss.

I think I covered most of the stupid comments that usually pop up in these threads.
That answers some of my questions, but the one I still have is:

Does anyone know if the quality still goes in before the name goes on?

The El Primero movement in this Zenith was used by Rolex in their Daytona before they built their own in-house movement.

The current problem with Rolex is people who know nothing about watches buy Rolex to impress. Sad because they are good watches. If you really want to impress, see Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet
Or Tissot, right?

I like the look of Tissot but in that league a Hamilton is a better buy and more respected.

I like Zenith but not this particular style. Just wanted to comment for those concerned about jomashop that I've made a few high-dolla purchases there and never had an issue. Sure, it's often gray market (i.e., still authentic just not sold through an authorized dealer) so the warranty is via jomashop instead of your local dealer, but not really a big deal.

Why buy this when you can buy a Rolex for similar pricing which is more prestigious and higher quality?
You buy a Rolex to show off to people that can't afford luxury-watches.
You buy this because you like the brand and model.
People that can afford a luxury watch will know what it is

Why don't we start posting deals on yatchs and helicopters? I've been coming to Slickdeals since 2004 and don't understand why this is being posted at all, and I appreciate a good watch. Luxury goods that number in the thousands of dollars are not the target audience for this website.
That's your opinion buddy. Keep it with yourself rather than impose it on others. Don't like the post then don't open the thread and post stupid comments. Just move on.

You've been here since 2004 and you don't understand why this is being posted? Seriously? The point of Slickdeals is to save money. Not everyone that spends over 1k on a watch is a gazillionare, so it's nice to see discounts on luxury stuff. You sound so ignorant and dumb.
