I picked up one of these last time around as well as the Gorilla Gripper from Lowe's to give as a gift. A few Lowes' around me have the later for $8-$12.

550 cord is very versatile and can be used in place of this. I've used that cord all the time while I was in the military.

3/4 plywood isn't light. Carrying them any distance or up some stairs and you'll quickly appreciate this
