You read my mind. I always grab these deal, I can never have enough storage. Esp when dealing with other peoples PC, i never use any hdd/usb that I connect to my own PCs so having extras is handy.

By the time WD was building the Elements line, they were soldering the drives to the interface to prevent shucking them. So nope, buy this only if you want a very small, used external drive with a questionable history and no extended credit card warranty.

Personally I'd never buy a refurbished drive, data is expensive to recover and I've toured places where the manufacturers check them. Brand new 4TB passports can be had for <$100 with full warranty, there was a recent Amazon deal for $55 on them.

Good price, but not sure if I want to store my important data in a refurbished HD. Anyone have experience on these refurbished HDs?

I practically guarantee it! I've never seen an external hard drive that didn't contain an 'internal' drive inside. SATA is the standard these days. There's a 2.5 inch SATA drive inside....I promise.
