Most of these chargers from Amazon and Walmart third party are Chinese knockoffs

Geez.... 42% 1 star on Amazon for this. Many are indicating the ones sold on Amazon are knock-offs.

Better off spending a little more dough and getting the tiny Anker PD Atom which uses the newest GaN technology. Provides up to 30W of power and many are using this tiny charger to power their 12" MacBooks.

Specs:
Total output wattage: 30W
Input: 100–240V ~ 1.2A 50–60Hz
Power delivery output: 5V = 3A / 9V = 3A / 15V = 2A / 20V = 1.5A
Size: 1.61 inches x 1.37 inches x 1.49 inches
Weight: 2.2 ounces

Your results may vary but I have been through two Google chargers for Pixel 2XL and both have stopped working

Mine started dropping in and out last week. Have NEVER had an issue with a USB - C thus far. Excited for the pixel class action.

Fantastic charger, worth getting as a backup. If you're having issues with yours, I'd first recommend contacting Google support and having them send you a replacement. The one I got with my Pixel 2XL stopped working with the phone for some reason (but still charged other devices). They replaced it for free, haven't had any problems since.

Same story here. They will send a new one, just got my second replacement. Thought it might be static electricity that kills them but looks like everyone has issues.

On eBay there's a generic 30W PD/QC3.0 Type-C charger with an additional Type-A 2.4A port and folding plug for $6.99 free shipping. I've had 4 and they have all been reliable for the past year. I'm not sure if they supply 18W specifically though, since it goes from 5V3A to 9V3A in its specs.
