Your results may vary but I have been through two Google chargers for Pixel 2XL and both have stopped working
One that came with my pixel 3xl last month is dead already.

Geez.... 42% 1 star on Amazon for this. Many are indicating the ones sold on Amazon are knock-offs.

Better off spending a little more dough and getting the tiny Anker PD Atom which uses the newest GaN technology. Provides up to 30W of power and many are using this tiny charger to power their 12" MacBooks.

Specs:
Total output wattage: 30W
Input: 100–240V ~ 1.2A 50–60Hz
Power delivery output: 5V = 3A / 9V = 3A / 15V = 2A / 20V = 1.5A
Size: 1.61 inches x 1.37 inches x 1.49 inches
Weight: 2.2 ounces

If this is the same one that comes with the pixel 3, that cable is annoyingly short.

My Google chargers are working great. Please stop spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD).

Highly doubt these are fake. Bought and picked up in store last go around as extra PD chargers for me. Comes in google box with sealed plastic on the outside just like my Pixel 3XL. If you don't need PD, there are cheaper chargers out there.

The Amazon link is sold from Amazon, not a 3rd party. Do you think Amazon itself sells counterfeits?

You can, kind of..
I've used it for my 15" MacBook pro, which comes with the 87 watt charger. It'll charge up if it's sleeping, but during light use it doesn't do much. I imagine during heavy use it wouldn't do anything noticeable at all.
