This lil gem is on sale again till monday, acer 35" cz350ck bmiiphx ultrawide curved 1440p monitor w/ 100hz, and various reports state that it is compatible with gsync.
EDIT: I say "on sale again," but this monitor actually hasn't gone on sale at this price previously at least from what I've found, I was getting it mixed up with the other acer 34" ultrawide that is on sale at this $400 price point every now and then, the ED347CKR.

Haven't seen it posted this time around, felt the need to post it since just the brand alone has a much, much more reliable ring than the current monoprice 35" also on front page, which is also on sale for the same price.

Quick spec:
3440 x 1440 Resolution
100 Hz Refresh Rate (reported OC'able))
4 ms Response
HDMI, DisplayPort Inputs
Adaptive-Sync Technology (reported G-sync compatible)
16.7 Million Color Support
Built in Speakers
1 x DP 1.2 + 1 x HDMI 1.4
Curvature 1800R
VA panel

$399.99 Free ship + selective state tax.

May jump on this as a secondary monitor to my aw3481dw.

It's not the best ultrawide by any means but it's by far and away the best value. It's been slightly cheaper but it's been on sale for 400 a few times. Alot of the lower end ultrawides with this resolution have complete crap stands. This one is height adjustable and overall pretty sturdy. It's a va panel. You can look up the difference between TN, VA and ips.

Has built in speaker but don't use them, they're complete crap. Picture quality Is standard va. Mine never gave me issues but people have reported with dead pixels and ghosting.

It can be overclocked I used to get around 120hz but with recent drivers with my gtx 1080 I can only overclock to about 108hz. I think it's has to do with the gsync/freesync compatibilty implementation.

Really tempted by this, I know it's VA but is there really anything else in this price range that's worth it if I'm on a budget

Anyone able to comment on whether to get this or the Monoprice 35" ultrawide? Seems like they both have the same types of specs. I need a monitor for studying, work spreadsheets, and some movie watching. Hoping this should be sufficient. Or I could spend double for the 34" LG from buy dig. Thoughts?

sales is over, but to answer your question, I'd take Acer over monoprice anyday, one actually has engineers that design stuff with better QC, reputation and warranty, albeit uses other manufacturers' panels (almost all monitor suppliers do), while the other rebadges other OEM monitor as a whole without any rnd and qc at all.
