You just bought 9 channels so 9.2 receiver minimum to take full advantage of what you bought including atmos decoding since your towers have it. Look for something with enough hdmi inputs as devices you intend to connect now and future proof it with a couple more. At this point might as well go 4k UHD passthrough so you avoid wanting to upgrade. Then depends on what you want personally. Intend to hook up another zone? Lots of things you can do with another zone....like outdoor speakers that mimic the setup sound or play it's own music all together. Then 2 or 3 zone outputs are something to consider as well as bluetooth and wireless capabilities. Some people need a specific watts per channel but that isn't as important as impedance imo when hooking up multiple speakers to the same channel. For me I looked really high end and went down from there skipping what I thought was overkill/wouldn't use and what I gave myself as a budget. Brand is preference but the big ones are denon, onkyo, yamaha to name the popular.

Fuuuuuuu....

I already pulled the trigger on the RC62/RF82 deal from Fry's along with the R-14S pair from Adorama (about $720 total for these 5 channels). Im a novice in the Klipsch Speaker game, but this seems like a much better/updated package by time a piece together the remaining components, especially since I will be shooting for a Atmos setup (still need a sub and Atmos channels)....

Someone prove me wrong, please...

I think in my personal opinion the RF 82 is a better speaker/ rc62 is also better speaker . From my research. Your problem is if you were looking to build an atmos system this deal is probably the cheapest route if you want Klipsch IMO

The RF/RP series are generally considered to be better than the R series listed in this deal. My HT system is comprised of RP series and I had liked it much better than the R series. I know everyone has different tastes but it is kinda safe to say your RF 82's are much better than the R-625's. Of course, it would be nice to audition these if possible but if it were me, I would stick to the RF82's and then save for matching bookshelves and surrounds. Btw, you could have very well bought 3 RF82's and used one of those as the center channel as well Smilie.. also, it is preferable to not mix and match the different Klipsch series as they are not timber matched.

Just missed the deal on the RF82's from Fry's.

Would the $1199 deal work well with a Sony STR-DN1060 (165W per channel, 7.2)?

Question for those monitoring all the Klipsch deals over the last few weeks. I'm looking for the best deal for a Klipsch package with no receiver. Would this be the one? (Leaning towards the $1449 one)

Can someone help me with the difference between these two packages because they seem identical to me. Am I going crazy?

Edit: nvm one has two subs. I'm an idiot

You'd be hard pressed to get 625fa for $200ea and still wouldn't have a better speaker than 82ii. The atmos is in the end fake atmos even though it's a decent alternative applied properly when real ceiling speakers aren't an option. Your center is much better also. The sub here is barely down to 29hz which leaves much to be desired for real HT bass. This is a great package but your start is much better especially for what you paid
