They have had it cheaper before. Like $15.

Yes, they've been cheaper, but that was REALLY rare. $20 is a great price. I've been watching these for years as this is the only keyboard I use, and I always try to have one as a spare in the closet. I think I previously had bought one at $25, which was a fairly good price. I've seen more aggressive discounting as of late and makes me suspect Microsoft is planning to phase out the keyboard.

Also, as a side note, if you get one of these as a spare and don't need it immediately: it's still a good idea to it out right away. I have a second computer that I just decided to start using this keyboard with. I got a new one out of the closest and started using it: immediately noticed that the space bar was a bit tight. It worked, but wasn't smooth like all other keys. Crazy how such a little thing caused such a problem: I was getting typos and double spaces trying to type. I contacted Microsoft (couldn't find a web page for keyboard support, but ended up finally getting through and transferred on the phone) and as long as I pay to send it back, they'll send me a new one.

It's a hassle to have to pay to send it back, but as long as the shipping is less than $20 (or, actually, $22, due to sales tax), it's better for me to send it back and get a new one.

I've had a number of these keyboards over the years and the normal way they die is if something gets spilled on it :-)

This was the first one that had a problem out of the box. Moral of the story is simply a reminder to always test any product you buy, even if all the other times you've bought that product it's been good, and even if it's just headed for the shelf for now...

Congrats, this is 5/24/19. Unless you've got a deal on a time machine, a rare price from the past doesn't help anybody.

Yup so if you wanna pay this price now, go ahead. If you want to wait for a better price see my original post. Always a dbag in the crowd.

Bought this last month and ended up returning it after a day. Typing was fine, but my space bar kept getting stuck. I would type like this and then ( space space space ) this would happen. Multiple ( space space space ) times. It wasn't worth the deal if I had to deal with this ( space space space ) space bar issue.

Only keyboard I've used for well over a decade, both at work and home (I've gone through three of them in that time). Fought it tooth and nail initially due to the strange layout and feel but now I'll never go back as long as MS keep making them.

The padded wrist guard is great and it is way more natural for your hands, improving my typing speed.

$20 is a good deal on this keyboard and I'll be picking up a spare to stick in storage.

I own 2 of these. I love the macro keys, they're great. My only gripe is spacebar, which is pretty hard to push down. All the top macro keys can be changed; the only extra button that can't is the scroll thing in the middle of the keyboard.

Yes. They can be changed to a macro or open a different webpage. Mail is defaulted to open the Outlook Mail app, but I changed it to open to my Outlook browser URL instead.
