I like 32 Degrees stuff but recently have been confused by their t shirts. It seems that for their mens T's (both crew and v neck) theyhave two different materials they use and I can't seem to identify which or why it is different between all my orders. They both are polyester, but one material is softer to touch, closer to feeling like cotton, and isn't as cool feeling. These fit a little tigther. The other material is more synthetic feeling (like moisture wicking type materials) and you feel cooler while wearing it. I like both, but wish I knew what I was ordering or what I was going to receive.

has anyone else experienced this?

For 32 degrees, these are actually nice shirts. holds up pretty well with multiple washes. Thin but not too thin where it shows your nips. But i only bought dark colors.

so I totally understand how certain fabrics can feel better or worse for different people and I'm not going to dispute your negative experience with moisture wicking fabrics. That is a personal preference and people definitely respond differently and feel different sensations to the same material. also, not all polyester synthetics are made the same, and some really are just marketing hype and worse than cotton.

the idea behind moisture wicking materials is that they offer a better surface area:volume ratio for sweat to evaporate, which increases the rate of evaporative cooling that occurs which is in fact how sweat helps us keep cool. So really, if it is pulling sweat away from you and having it evaporate quickly, it is in fact going to cool you down faster. This is why cotton stays wet for so long - it is highly absorbent decreasing the surface area:volume ratio of the fabric, decreasing the rate of evaporation and increasing the time it takes to dry.

They had these on sale at Costco last month. $7.99 for 2 pack (only had black and white crew neck)

The shirts are are nicer than I thought. Not too thin.

Looks like they aren't on Costco.com anymore so maybe they sold out?

These shirts are, seriously, my favorite tshirts that I own. They run a little large imo. I usually wear a large, but I find a medium fits me slightly better. They don't shrink.

You're right, they're missing online but I saw some in store this past weekend at that price.
Wanted vneck so I didn't bite.

I always wear undershirts and have made these my exclusive undershirts due to them keeping their neckline and colors not fading

I've tried to use these as undershirts for about two weeks. They end up being way too hot, especially in the morning when I'm running around, drinking mad amounts of hot coffee, and trying to get to work. It ends up sort of drying up but the rest of the day it just feels strange wearing these under a shirt. Wouldn't recommend it for this purpose. They have a weird feel to them and the neck doesn't seem to hold up.
