The 1050 series is rapidly becoming dated.
All electronics are that way genius.

Anyone that's had this before, what's the build quality of this? Seen reviews of other Acer laptops saying build quality is poor and buttons fall off and such. Any personal experiences?
Had mine since BF, the back panel is highly scratchable so you need a cover to protect that, none of the keys have fallen off for me

This deal is similar to the Dell G5 deal recently posted, which for some reason didn't get quite as much love, but was $600 for a very similarly spec'd system. As a sad Slickdeals addict, I've owned both machines. The keyboard concern on the Nitro 5 is unfortunately very real. My first one had a loose "D" key, so I ended up having to exchange it. My second one never had a key come loose but the build quality had me nervous it would happen again at any moment, so I was almost afraid to use it. Otherwise it was a good basic rig. Plays modern titles on low to medium settings and pretty easily upgradable. I sold it when I picked up the G5, which just feels like a better built machine by comparison.
