You aren't required to be logged into your SD account, as long as you went through the link to Dell provided in the post.
So, to be clear, do I click on the "see deal" button on top of the page, buy the laptop with the upgrades I want and then follow the rebate instructions? Can I go thru dell financing and still qualify for the rebate?

Yes $50 is worth it in my opinion for the stronger GPU. The bigger battery is worth it if you can get it without having to pay to upgrade the storage drives, or if you need the additional 3-4 hours battery life.

OK. Got one with 1660ti and 90 WHr battery. Total came to 1370.85
Just hope the rebate will go ok. I got one last year on my wife's laptop from dell with no issues.
I would have gone for the Lenovo deal a few weeks ago but, I need the alienware graphics amp port since I already have one I use now with my R2.

What does the "ti" add? Saves battery? I see the Gddr 6 vs gddr 5 on the 1060, but I'm wondering about the ti feature. Thanks!

It's not a feature, it's the model of the GPU. Similar to a 1070 vs a 1070 ti. It's just a stronger GPU compared to 1660. Great card as well.

Ok. I got the one upgraded to 1660ti but didn't upgrade the battery. My argument is the extra weight it's going to add and also possibility of one less storage option. Also being a gaming laptop, it will be plugged in anyway. I don't expect it to be used over 6 hours without charging.

Yes, any of the links from the original post work for the rebate. Feel free to use Dell Financing as your payment method. This will not affect your rebate.
