A bit gaudy for me, but it's a nice deal.

Played one of these recently. Was very nice, quite comfortable and sounded great. Nice deal!

As all Gretsch's will need a bit of a setup

Use coupon code "MEMORIAL" and it will drop the price down at checkout.

Note for anyone who isn't that familar with these. This model is smaller than the regular hollow body Gretsch's you see on here (can't tell via the pics), more the size of a Les Paul. Also can be used with pedals quite well and doesn't produce the feedback normally associated with Hollowbody Gretsch's so works well for the heavier stuff. Great Guitar for more than just Rockabilly and country. These things can ROCK!! If you like the retro style of the Gretsch with "F-Holes" but would want something more comfortable and smaller, the build quality and playability is fab for a guitar for this price.

I've bought a couple of these inexpensive Gretsches over the last couple of years and ended up getting rid of both. They are nice but I don't like the filtertron pickups which sound muddy to me. I'll hold out for a real Gretsch with TV Jones pickups.

These are new Blacktops designed by Tim Shaw. I totally agree with you if you had a 26__ Series or Pre 2017 -54__ series, those were a bit muddy, especially the 2655 Streamliner series.

The filtertron pickups are what hold me back.

No it cannot play Crysis due to the lack of a dedicated graphics card. No Crysis, no real time ray tracing. But it can play Hendrix....

Have this guitar, love it. Note that it has standard size Filter'Tron , while the newer 5655s they recently released have the full humbucker size broadtrons. This was a plus for me as I upgraded to TV Jones pickups. You can't easily do that on the newer ones.
