A comparable RTIC or Ozark is going to be at least triple the cost of this guy. And for a day trip or similar, you dont need 5 days of insulation. This will do fine for the majority of users

I've had one of these for 25 years. They're great.

Almost picked this up until I looked closer at it. The lid doesn't lock. It isn't going to keep things cold for long with that design. I'd also be concerned about it spilling. I would like a small cooler that I can just throw in and go without worrying about it spilling.

Edit: it has a lock. Ignore this post.

The lock/release is on the top (next to the handle) according to description, unless that is wrong.

this design is super oldschool and while nostalgic, it is very ineffective. I would only get this if it was free. Even then I would consider not taking it due to clutter. Get yourself a new style insulated bag made from rtic, yeti, ozark, or whatever brand you like or can afford and you will be much happier. Save these 11 dollars for some dr pepper.

I've got a bag I use to take lunch to work and I've been looking at hard coolers because I like to throw my lunch in a larger bag with other things and my food can get smashed. Not to mention, to imply someone should get a Yeti over this is a little crazy.....literally 15x the cost.
