A7iii still selling very well. No incentives for stores to offer discounts right now.

Been on the fence about the A7R II or A7 II, I do mostly street and portrait photography, anyone have any suggestion about which is the best value for money? A7II is about half the cost on ebay used with under 10k shutter counts consistently.

Dang, is this a good way to spend $1600+ on a 4yr old camera? Seems like it had weaknesses even when it was released in 2015.

There's sure a worse way to do it alcohol for example and there are better ways for sure but at this price point is a decent way to go

I'm an amateur photographer. I take food, portraits, nature, and car photos with limited editing and post processing. I bought an a7rii and feel like I definitely over did it. Lol who needs 42 freaking megapixel as an amateur??! I thought I was thinking ahead, buy for life. If I could get a a7iii I would definitely trade for it.

Yeah, from everything ive read there isnt much to justify the 2x price point. Just nice to hear it from someone else. You think the A7iii is worth that much of a jump in price from the A7II or just you mean relative to the a7rII its worth the jump for $500-700 or whatever. I can afford any of the top tier cams, I just dont know if the bang per dollar is really there. I think id rather have A sub 1k camera and put that extra $1300 in a grade A lens.

Choosing between A7iii or a7riii wld be better if you want to keep the camera for long and upgrade your photography. A7iii for videos, A7riii for photos.

depends upon your needs. for me, it's definitely worth the extra expense. for others, it isn't. i use the extra pixels due to cropping, resolution needs (based upon cropping and use - large landscape prints), customers using my shots for large printing needs. as with anything, it's dependent upon your needs and use.
