It's literally a waiting game to see when they fail, good luck getting all your money back over 20 installments. They stripped anything that was profitable so it's only a guess when they'll finally go under.

It is definitely a gamble. I am voting that they are going to stay afloat at least until X-mas... So I rolled the dice on the $300 deal. Its basically over the next 3 1/2 months; and the sooner in the sooner the thing pays out. (hmm.. sounds like I'm describing a ponzi scheme... later investors paying off earlier ones... What sears has turned into; sigh)

Sears will not shutter this year, The stores and assets are no longer under Holdings, private, more than 3/4 of it's debt got wiped out, no more pension and benefits baggage, giving out less points and coupons under the SYW program with more restrictions and they just opened 3 stores under the "Home & Life" banner with plans of converting/opening more current stores off mall under that banner. They are also cutting Sears stores in half via downsizing and the other stores have dirt cheap leases with plans to downsize/leave clothing entirely. Which ought to give them more cash in the system. Also if the stores thing does not work out, they still have Kenmore and Diehard assets to sell off. Also it helps that Eddie is no longer CEO (granted he's still Chairman, but i'll argue that Sears really started to go downhill when he became CEO in 2013)

Holdings on the other hand (which no longer owns Sears) will collapse any day now. we will see.

It would be nice but the tool has been marked "hot buy" so that won't work.

They marked a bunch of stuff hot buy and simply disabled other items from working. The sheds for example should work being Home/Lawn and Garden but don't.
