It's more secure by default and will stay lighter weight over its life without needing extra maintenance down the road. The one main knock against it was no Chrome, that vanishes now with chromium edge

Windows S is basically a preview of the new future Modern OS (WCOS): Windows Ultra coming in the Fall by then they will have "secured" x86 figured out too. This is what eventually will replace Windows 10 for users and Windows 10 will become a Workstation OS

Most can live fine in S mode and malware basically has no shot at infecting an S system at all and this makes sense for most of the users
Thanks for the breakdown. Can I connect this to an external monitor?

Definitely NOT the lowest price ever. This thing was $399 for months.

Thank you, I was going to buy for that price but will wait for a while for price to go down.

Yes obviously, not the best choice for extreme gaming. It will run office very well.

Yes, it easily drives an external monitor just like any Surface

Heres a good portable monitor: https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/MB168BPlus/

MB168B+ Portable monitor - 15.6" FHD (1920x1080), USB-powered, Ultra-slim, Lightweight, Auto-rotatable
15.6-inch Full HD portable USB-powered monitor with a single USB 3.0 cable for power and data transmission
World's slimmest and lightest USB monitor with a sleek and metallic finish
Auto-rotating display bundled with the ASUS Smart Case – a two-way adjustable stand and protective sleeve

Costco near me was clearing these out. I grabbed one for $200. Best deal of the year for me.

Did they have them out on display with a clearance tag? Or did you have to ask an associate?

It was marked 200 dollars on display with a price change date of 6/6. Interestingly it was on the jewelery case.

Can you post a pic of your receipt?

Last time I was at my local Costco this week, they didn't seem to carry the Go anymore. Going to try my luck after the gym today.
