This game is super fun and I can't believe it's so damn cheap! I just paid $80 for it a couple of months ago...and worth every penny! There's a TON of game in this (big) box!
There's an app you can download on your phone/tablet called Legends of the Alliance that lets you play co-op, or solo. It's got a nice tutorial that walks you through a lot of the basics of the game.

I've also really been enjoying painting the figures that come with the game!

Any chance this is a FAKE game? Seems to happen a lot on Amazon, especially if you don't buy direct from Amazon (but even then)

That's a smoking deal for a highly-rated game (presently #35 overall on Boardgamegeek, and the second-best Star Wars game after Star Wars Rebellion).

The game is a one-versus-many, so it's not quite Gloomhaven; rather it is a re-implementation of a game called Descent. Basically one player plays the "bad guys" while 1-4 people try to beat them. Depending on the outcome of each scenario, characters advance in different ways. Kind of like taking most of the roleplaying out of a roleplaying game and just enjoying the combat scenarios.

Is this game worth $40 dollars?
Any cashback/promo sites for this purchase?
Worth $40? Absolutely. And is there ever cash back or promos for purchases through Amazon?

That description there reminds me of one of my favorite games ever, Fury of Dracula. Instabuy for me.

For the three games how does Star Wars: Rebellion vs Armada vs Imperial Assault compare to each other?

Fantasy Flight also does a great job with game mechanics, easily worth it.

Next to none. A game of this size with this many miniatures as it has isn't as cheap to counterfeit and doesn't sell anywhere near as many copies as other commonly-counterfeited games for it to be worth it to knock off. There are a LOT more components of a higher complexity to make in a game like this than there are in a game like Splendor, Mysterium, Ticket to Ride, or Dixit.

Star Wars Rebellion is a lot more comparable to Fury of Dracula, since it involves a Rebel player that has hidden their base on a planet that the Imperial player is trying to find and destroy. The Rebel player can reveal and then hide the base on another planet, while deploying forces to the hidden planet in a special 'reserve' portion of the board.
I love Imperial Assault and I enjoyed Fury of Dracula the one time I've gotten to play it. I don't think they are all that similar though. Both are excellent games.

Between Fury of Dracula 4th edition and Star War Rebellion which one would you pick and why?
