Star Wars Rebellion is a lot more comparable to Fury of Dracula, since it involves a Rebel player that has hidden their base on a planet that the Imperial player is trying to find and destroy. The Rebel player can reveal and then hide the base on another planet, while deploying forces to the hidden planet in a special 'reserve' portion of the board.
I love Imperial Assault and I enjoyed Fury of Dracula the one time I've gotten to play it. I don't think they are all that similar though. Both are excellent games.
Cool I have Rebellion sitting in my wall of shame, I'll have to put it on the table soon!

Between Fury of Dracula 4th edition and Star War Rebellion which one would you pick and why?
That's hard for me because I am a big Star Wars fan, but Fury of Dracula is really fun because the theme lends itself to creating a lot of atmosphere and immersion. When I played Fury I put on a playlist of spooky-sounding songs and brought out some red wine and it added a lot to the game. Both games take a while to play and have a lot of rules but I feel like Rebellion is the longer of the two and has a lot more fiddly rules that will have you looking in the book (combat is a bit of a chore and one of the things people don't like about the game; the expansion added new combat rules that fixed the game for the people who disliked it before though). Both games are about equal component-wise, but Rebellion has a lot more minis and pushing around a massive blob of Star Destroyers, Gozantis, and TIE Fighters feels really good, when you look at your opponent's face and say "I think I'm going to attack" and just slide the fleet into one of their sectors.

I've only been able to play Fury of Dracula once; the group I played it with did not end up liking it. They had some complaints against the combat, which I think was more about how they had prepared (or their lack of preparation card-wise) before-hand causing me to get the upper-hand most times). They did really like the hidden movement though and the feeling of searching around Europe trying to pin down my movements and location.

Rebellion is a pretty decent game too though. Hidden information doesn't play as big of a role in Rebellion as it does Fury but as an Imperial player you do have to move your fleets around from system to system to try to find the rebel base and try to blow it up with a Death Star. Depending on what planets are in rebellion or are subjugated, both sides get to develop more units or new tech (like Super Star Destroyers) that slide down a track and become available after a certain number of turns. The planets are essentially your factories that produce resources for you and Fury doesn't have anything like that, and I enjoy that part of the game.

Fury is the better game with a full group. It's supposed to play pretty decently at 3 and is even recommended by some at a 3 player count: one player as Dracula and two people controlling two hunters each. In general I don't like having to control multiple characters in a game (especially in a theme-heavy game where it breaks the immersion; it's hard to "feel" like I am Abraham Van Helsing when I am also having to play as another character). I wouldn't want to play the game without a full five people. Rebellion advertises itself as being playable up to 4 though and not many people recommend that. It is pretty much a two player game that lets up to four people play it by two people on each side of the table splitting their factor's responsibilities in half. I don't care to ever play it with more than two.

I enjoy both games and don't see myself ever getting rid of them. I haven't had anyone to play either one of them with for a long time and they've been gathering dust. Both have some decent reviews out there and both sit fairly high in the BoardGameGeek rankings. I think you can't go wrong with either of them but depending on what size group you play with, one may be better than the other. And theme does play a pretty big part: Rebellion may not be as fun to someone who isn't a fan of Star Wars, though most of the mechanics are sound, and Fury is probably the more appealing game to horror film fans. Fury of Dracula has some strong competition in the hidden-movement genre, like Letters from Whitechapel (which I own but have not played), where investigators are trying to track down Jack the Ripper. I cannot think of games that are in competition with or are similar to Rebellion though, so I feel like it is a bit more unique though it doesn't particularly do anything new (I'm not discounting the possibility that I'm forgetting some super-popular game that is similar to Rebellion but nothing is coming quickly to mind).

I don't know if anything above helps or not. I'm a bit tired at work right now and have the feeling that I rambled quite a bit and didn't really say anything all that important about either game.

This sounds really interesting! I've had the game on my radar for quite a while. Happy to pull the trigger at this price point. Thanks for sharing about the app.

FYI, MAP for this game is 79.76. As a autrorized seller, I cannot break MAP. It appears Amazon has a different agreement. So yes this us a great price. If you want it but it now. No one accept Amazon can selll this low. It is below the price Asmodee sell to its retailers.

FYI, Asmodee (owner of FFG) has clamped down on third party sellers. Only authorized sellers are allowed to sell on Amazon for Asmodee games. So the chances of getting a fake game is low.
