If this phone got updates, it wouldn't be this low in price. I had a LG V20 and rarely got updates. Ended up switching to a Pixel 3 during that $399 offer and its so much better.

If it's not any better than the G6 it's a hard pass. My G6 is the worst phone I've owned.

True. The LG g2 and lg g4 were awesome...minus the bootloop on the g4. After these LG has been crap. The v40 is pretty nice but for the price might as well get a pixel or Samsung.

Had the LG G7 ThinQ on Google Fi, hated it.

LG ruined Android with their skin then never gives updates. A flagship phone that doesn't give updates ... If this phone had stock Android it would have been great.

After 4 months or so I bought a Pixel 3XL even tho my G7 technically works fine.

And NO, do not expect Android Pie. Pie was supposed to be pushed 8 months ago. Google it.

LG don't hold their value, support is lacking but is still an alternative. I upgraded from a 4 to an 8.

I actually like my g7, and as poster above said updates can ruin perfectly functioning apps. Wireless charging, bright screen while flying my drone on sunny days, rear fingerprint seems to be as fast as my honor 8 was prior, great speaker and incredible audio through headset. I guess I'm in the minority when it comes to LG phones.
