Torn between this 1440p 75Hz and the earlier 1080p 144Hz (curved 24" MSI) to pair with an RTX 2080.

Wow this is a pretty good deal. Anyone have any input on the pixel density of 1440p at this size?

Isn't refresh rate over resolution?

Personally I think it's the sweet spot. I'd say 24"-27" monitor max for 1080p, 32" for 1440p monitor, and I'm shooting for 43" 4k TV (for multitasking mainly). I'm not touching 4k PC gaming until prices come down and technology gets a bit more beefy.

How's this for 2nd monitor gaming? Like using a Switch? Debating if I want to get this as a second monitor for just playing my switch / watching twitch.

This is "flicker-safe." Not quite flicker-free, but flicker is minimal. If you are sensitive to flicker, then you may want to watch some videos of LG's flicker-safe monitors before buying.

Go 1440, looks much better. Also you'd be way underutilizing that GPU with a 1080 monitor, yeah?

They do. Though waive the tax if you use their credit card, at least in NY they do
