FYI Air France has one of the best business class upgrade offerings today - I routinely book a coach (or sometimes a slightly cheaper premium select ticket, don't ask me how that works...) and then pay $400 for a business class upgrade at check in. The key is to check in right at 24hrs prior to the flight and Air France will either offer the upgrade or if it doesn't show up, complete the check in, login again, and select change your seat to see available seat upgrade prices into business class.

It's people like that this miss out on all the amazing things in the world.

The Parisians should probably be grateful.

Use flights.google.com, easier to use and more accurate and skyscanner.

Search for EWR to CDG and you'll find these fares from late October 2019-March 2020.

Remember to book directly with the airline.

I see plenty of flights departing around Thanksgiving day (and even on Thanksgiving day) out of JFK and EWR.

Your chance on good weather goes up in March. But Paris is worth a trip anytime imho.

Have you done this recently? I believe there was a change to a dynamic pricing model back in 2017. I've seen these upgrades cost over $1500 recently.

Booked a week trip during the week of TG for 580 for 2 people. Check out ORLY airport, I did a flight there to Orly and flight back from CDG. Worked out better with my schedule, might help you too

The cheapest seats (economy light) specifically say that upgrades (paid and complimentary) aren't an option. Are you saying that sometimes that is not the case?
