This is usually selling on eBay for $1500 (open box).

I have this projector. I just bought it from Costco.com for $2299 with a $150 cash card. I had to pay tax on it, but did because Costco buys the 2nd year warranty, and you get an additional two years (4 years total) if you purchase it with their Costco VISA card. Although not native 4k, it does achieve that resolution with pixel shifting. I seriously doubt anyone could discern a difference.

There are a number of reviews on youtube, and they are all positive. Given that it's portable, "smart" projector with a really smart remote with built-in apps like Netflix, Amazon, youtube, castability from your phone (I believe none of the other projectors have them), it's a good price. I would buy it if I have the money 🙄🙄🙄

Here is a good review:

Too bad LG didn't drop their price on this projector nor did they release their UST projector. Couldn't wait so jumped on the BenQ HT3550.

Valid- I'm on mobile so went off the TU count as I don't think the bought is in the app.
Still seems like a lot of people voting up/excited

This has been a popular projector on Slickdeals. I would own it myself if it had 3D. I will likely buy the BenQ ht3550 which does but this is still tempting for its portability.

The LG HU80KA has mostly positive reviews. If I were in the market for a 4K laser projector, I would definitely get this one over something like the Xiaomi Mijia 4K even if it's not UST (though it still has a shorter throw than a standard projector). The ability to project onto the ceiling -- even a vaulted ceiling (the mirror can be adjusted) -- is a killer feature for me. I also like the fact that the cord is retractable like on some vacuums. At $1500 it's a steal.

I bought this and returned. Picture is ok, it has to be a certain distance around 10 feet to get it to fit a 120 inch screen. No lens shift to speak of and that was a deal breaker for me. Ended up buying a new bulb for my Epson 5040ub and couldn't be happier.
