I swear to everything good and holy if I don't start seeing at least estimated transfer rates from the manufacturer I am going to refuse to buy their product… They used to be standard practice to see you how fast you would expect to read and write data but the last few years it has become virtually impossible to find reliable transfer rates...

The reviews are not promising. At this price, Microcenter ones are much better buy Imo.

First of all it SUCKS when they make a 3.0 or 3.1 usb interface only for the chip to have SHITTY speed!!! Second DO NOT buy team flash until they have a US BASED return/RMA policy!!!

hmm, I got a Microcenter 128Gb a couple weeks ago, I transferred some video files and my DVD player wasn't able to read the flash drive, the files are there and can be used from a computer. I have Sandisk and other flashdrives for the same purpose and they have worked, The microcenter is the first one that didnt, so I would proceed with caution with the microcenter, at least that is my most recent experience.

It could be the USB interface or the file system on your USB drive that's causing this.

Read this - Cons: Slow - average about 4 mb/s transferring files to drive from an internal SSD via USB 3.0 port - no where near USB 3.1 or USB 3.0 speed, slow even for USB 2.0, but at least they didn't error out and fail to completely like some of the "inexpensive" USB drives I have bought.

Are the sandisk and other flash drives 128GB too?

I have three microcenter 128gb drives and I have not had a single issue with them.

yes, I only have one 128gb other than the microcenter and its a SanDisk 128GB Ultra Dual m3.0 USB 3.0 / micro-USB Flash Drive, probably the best flashdrive I have.
Dont get me wrong the microcenter is working fine, the only detail was that my DVD player doesnt recognize it. I've had Sandisk that have been faulty and they stop working and have to be repaired when plugged in the computer and of course they dont work on the DVD.
it's my personal experience.

I don't think it would be worth it to drive500 miles for a flash drive though...

X2 for buying something reputable, bought a 5 pack of 32gb Patriot from Amazon for $20 and they're slower than snot on a cold winter day. 16gig transfer took over 2 hours no matter how I formatted them. I'll stick with known name brands from here out.
