Everyone I know hates the keyboard and accidental Siri activation.
I'd skip this line up until Apple replaces it with a complete redesign.

Thanks, missed the AEFES deal the other day, so grabbed this one. My kids have recently discovered The Sims, so I can't get on the iMac for other things without waiting my turn, haha.

Looking to replace my MacBook Pro 2010. Is this too much for me? I was thinking the air since it's a bit cheaper and I'm just an average user. Looking for portability though, for travel.

Get the air. No doubt it's better for your use case.

Thanks. For air do I get the 2017 model or the most recent released one? Does it matter?

The display on the new (Retina) model is light-years better than the previous models. Faster processor. Lighter weight. Since you seem to keep your machines for a very long time, I'd suggest getting the newest model.
