This is my first deal post so I hope I'm doing this right.

Dell EPP currently has the G7 15 7590 w/RTX 2060 [dell.com] for $1332.79 after applying the coupon code SAVE15AFF.
  • 15.6 inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS 144Hz Display
  • 9th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-9750H (12MB Cache, up to 4.5 GHz, 6 cores)
  • 16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4, 2666MHz
  • 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive (Boot) + 1TB 5400 rpm 2.5" SATA Hard Drive (Storage)
  • NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2060 6GB GDDR6
  • English 4-Zone RGB Backlit Keyboard
  • Killer Wireless 1550 2x2 AC and Bluetooth 5.0
  • Windows 10 Home 64bit English
  • 60 WHr, 4-Cell Battery (integrated)
This is $60 less than the FP deal earlier this month for the same specs through Dell EPP (even through Dell Home this one is less at $1359.99 [dell.com]). Compared to the previous FP deal, this system now has dual channel memory, and includes 1 year on site support.

If the SAVE15AFF code expires or hits its use limit, 200OFF1599AFF will get it for $1371.99 through Dell EPP ($1399.99 through Dell Home)
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

The 2060 doesn't say Max Q version, while the 2070 version does. If this is true, there's no way to justify $245 more for the Max Q that in many ways underperforms or is on par with the normal 2060.

If your primary focus is gaming, then I would get the 2070.

If you do deep learning, that 8 gb memory of 2070 would be big help. Otherwise, if the price difference is more that $100, no.

For a 1080 screen, 2060 is plentiful already. Regarding the processor, I'll go with 8th gen, it has more than enough juice to handle normal gaming needs. Don't need to pay more just because something is new.

This is correct, this is why I got the 2060 G7 17. When I bought it there was a $400 premium total to jump up to the 2070 version. I wanted the 144Hz screen but I couldn't justify another $400 and I've been happy with mine until the BIOS update 1.5.1 killed it. Currently working with Dell support to get a solution.

Sitting at 1.3 watching everyone getting farked by Dell for a year now. What the hell happened and why can't they fix it? Love mine I have 1060 max-q version it's almost entirely adequate for my needs I think I might just need a ram upgrade to get the steady FPS I'd like I'm very close...

If u don't need 144HZ screen you can get the G7 15 for $999 after coupon with GTX 1660Ti or $1089 with RTX 2060 (and only 8GB ram and 128GB SSD+1TB HDD)

I've looked. Just curious on other's experience with laptop sales before September. I know what I want but was curious if there are better sales around that time frame.
