Shows as $79 (for next ~8hrs), not $135. Seems like a lot for a padded belt with a metal bit on it though

That's what I was thinking. I bet I could build this out of old parts in a few hours

Comfort and safety - don't mess around with those two. Your homemade system glitches and your camera falls... would never risk that given the amount of money hanging on my belt.

The camera hitches, belts and vests are pricey-- you can look for generic pricing as well-- but when you have a $2500 or $10000 camera on them you want the make sure you have a quality hitch.

I have the dual one instead of this single belt system and have been using it regularly for the past 6+ years. I can attest to the quality and durability of this system holding up to regular use; I've had no problems running around during weddings with two Canon 5D's locked and loaded.

Almost anything for cameras is ridiculously marked up. This is a $40 belt at most.
