Good deal. I was about to buy from Amazon for the same price but saw that Ring also added the protect plus discount so the total price from Ring was $179.10.

How did you get the additional discount from ring. I logged into my ring account and still only shows for $199

Are you paying for ring protect? Did you go to payment page on checkout?

Says right on the page "*Not eligible for Protect Plus 10% Discount"

You must have got in before they fixed it

Hmm the discount went through for me even thought it said it wasn't eligible during checkout. $191.10 to my door for me. Nice

Yes, I went to payment on the checkout page. The discount was applied there.

Love the idea of this but I use misc IP cams and don't want to switch to the ring service. Anyone have any good IP cam alternatives?

Mother's Day: Breakfast in bed, trip to the spa, brunch, 100 long stem roses, diamond necklace, a card that took no less than 327.63 hours to find the perfect message inside, etc.

Father's Day: A tie from the dollar store or some crap for the house he has to work on himself.

Seems about right.

I've had good luck with sv3c brand ip cams from Amazon, work well in blue iris. I also have a rind doorbell Cam and their security monitoring but I found ip cams are better for live viewing.

Keep in mind these things do not work well under eaves, they are meant to be mounted on a wall

Why wouldn't it work well under eaves?

The camera can only go down so much, there are some hacks but too much for me to mess with. Google it and you will see examples.

I just watched a YouTube video with a guy using a dremel on the camera ball mount and grinded away some metal so it can swivel back. Not something I'm looking to do to mine, so I'm returning one out of the pair after I get them!
