Yeah they used to go on sale for $10 pretty regularly and they're well worth $10. There are guides on how to use them as water sensors and other mods on SmartThings community forums. The only thing I don't like about them is that they are truly awful at battery percentage. They'll say the battery is at 0% yet I've had sensors last for months at 0%.

I can agree with that 100%. Definitely the most annoying issue with these sensors. And truthfully the only issue I have had with them. Also fwiw, I've had these up for over 3 years and no issues at all, other then what's stated above.

I have over 20 of these window sensors and they work great with my Smartthings hub 2.0. I can't remember what I paid, but I think it was $10 each.

I have only the motion sensors and window/door sensors, and for the money, they're a fantastic value!! I use them with SmartThings as well. The only downsides are the temperatures are normally much higher via the sensors than my hardwired thermostat, even with the temp adjustments you can make, and the same battery %'s mentioned by others.

I won't buy anymore of these open/close sensors. I bought several of them almost 2 years ago. The one on the front door I've had to replace twice because it quits working. Resetting them does little to fix the problem they'll mess up again in a week or less.

The ones on windows and doors that are never used gets stuck in the closed state.

So it seems if they're used all the time or if they're used to infrequently they are not reliable.

I bought a few Samsung multi-purpose sensors and have been using those without issue for about 4 months now. I know there are complaints about Samsung also.

It seems like there's just not a real reliable sensor on the market at the moment.

We had these in our old house with SmartThings and I loved them. I needed another 20 or so for this place and keep waiting for the $10 deal but caved and got them at $15. They have always worked well until the other night when the front door set off the alarm at 4 AM. It showed the sensor opened and closed 20 plus times in a minute or two, not sure why.

Nice. I've seen posts about the door sensors being $10 but I've been waiting a few weeks and this is the best i've seen. In for four. Thanks!

Yes, I just took my ST motion sensors offline. Too many false alarms. Can't deal with that kind of waste of time. Going to try these since they advertise good for pets.

As others have stated, I too bought the window sensors for $10 and I had one that stuck on for a while, but I have about 20 of them on my windows and they are working well. For the money, they're great IMHO. Grabbing a few more as backups..

These are garbage. They eat up battery so fast and stop working once a while. I have to remove all 5 and replaced with Samsung.

you're in a minority based on my research. I've been looking into door sensors over the last week and this product comes out on top based on what I've read from other users. They're not without negative reviews, that's for sure - but I've seen more negative reports from users of the samsung ones than these. I guess I'll find out myself.
