Totally forgot about meritline, use to get all my random china junk from them and printer cartridges. This seems like an alright deal. I've taken to insanely shaking the milk in a mason jar for 30 seconds then nuking for 30 seconds to set the foam. This may save my arm.

2 for $7.45 at DX

But personally, I'd just wait until you can find a deal/afford an Aerolatte. I went through 4-5 cheap ones before...Two died, one leaked into battery compartment, and two lost alignment (all the cheapos will lose alignment over time).

Then I got the Aerolatte Deluxe. Significantly stronger than the others and still works amazing...Amazon says I got it in 2008, so over 10 years I've had mine. I've used for protein shakes, soups, all the stuff you probably shouldn't without issue.
They have cheaper models, not 100% sure if the motor is all the same.

I bought another brand (Vomelon) from Amazon and use it for matcha tea. These things work great for that. No more clumps on the bottom. Have not tried it for milk yet.

I use an electric frother everyday for my coffee and tea. I definitely recommend getting a rechargable frother rather than battery operated. You can find them for like $10 on AMZ or eBay. Less weight and no battery replacement costs.

I don't have this one, but the nice thing is that the whisk is detachable. I have had an aerolatte style one for a long time and you have to remember to rinse it immediately and let it dry flat. Mine didn't come with a stand, but it works fine.

They need to start selling a rechargeable one honestly.

The Zulay is $10 on a lightening deal today. Good reviews and a lifetime warranty, which reviewers say the company honors. It has a stand and I think its better looking than the $5 one here.

As a counterpoint, I got an Aerolatte deluxe at Christmas in 2015. It stopped working within 2 years of light use (only used it 3-4 times a month for Saturday lattes) and kept it cleaned and maintained the whole time. My cheap one from Ikea that i use daily at work has held up much better.

Your cheap one from Ikea is not this one.
